The Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) Training course is designed to educate employees on the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials as outlined in the Globally Harmonized System (GHS). This training focuses on understanding the information contained in Material Safety Data Sheets and ensures that employees can safely navigate the information to protect themselves and others from chemical hazards. Participants will gain a clear understanding of how to interpret MSDSs, recognize chemical hazards, and implement safety measures in the workplace.

- Introduction to MSDS: What Material Safety Data Sheets are, why they are important, and their role in chemical safety.
- GHS & OSHA Standards: Overview of the Globally Harmonized System (GHS) and its integration with OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard (HCS).
- MSDS Format & Sections: Understanding the 16 sections of an MSDS, including product identification, hazard identification, first-aid measures, and handling procedures.
- Chemical Hazard Recognition: Identifying physical, health, and environmental hazards associated with chemicals.
- Protective Measures & PPE: How to determine the appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling practices based on MSDS information.
- Emergency Procedures & First-Aid: Understanding emergency response procedures for exposure or accidents related to hazardous chemicals.
- Labeling & Signage: How to interpret chemical labels and hazard symbols in accordance with GHS.
